Darjeeling is 80 km approx from the nearest railway station or nearest airport.

The nearest railway station is New Jalpaiguri junction and Siliguri junction. Both the railway station having all the facilities. You can arrive or depart any time on these both the railway station. 





There is also a facility of toy train from both the railway station. Toy train is little costly and time consuming. It will take 8 hours to reach Darjeeling. But you will enjoy more in toy train. The price of one ticket in toy train is Rs 1500.


Road is the best options to go Darjeeling from New Jalpaiguri or Siliguri. It is approx 85 km by road. There are many blind turn in the road. But don't worry drivers are very experienced. 

You can book personal car or shared car both from Jalpaiguri and Siliguri. Bus facilities are also available.

If you coming in evening or night in Jalpaiguri or Siliguri. Then don't go in night, please wait for morning. There are many hotels to stay in low cost at both places Jalpaiguri and Siliguri. Jalpaiguri and Siliguri both are 5 km away from each other.

You can get rooms in hotel on low cost of approx Rs 1000-Rs 1500. At the same cost you will also get rooms in Darjeeling. The best places to stay in Darjeeling is Mall road. There are many hotels in mall road.
